Meanwhile in Békésszentandrás: pilsner on the square

The first lager of Szent András Brewery’s beer series ‘TestAndras’, Gamma.07, a markedly cold-hopped pilsner, was born after a long experiment. The new beer from one of Hungary's longest-running small-scale breweries is a reconsideration of the traditional line, the taste of the highly popular Czech lager beer.

The next experimental beer by Szent András Brewery, Gamma.07 is 4.9% cold-hopped pilsner, inspired the cultic Czech lager beers, completed with modern thinking and high-quality ingredients. This is how the “almost perfect drinking beer” was born, or as the Szentandrás-brewers say: it was even raised to the square. This limited-edition lager is a hop-headed, herbaceous beer of grassy taste, yet easy-to-drink, with a well-sliding medium body.

Life can never stop in the brewery’s experimental lab ‘TestAndras’ (TesztAndrás). Since the lab started up in February, this is the tenth experimental brew that fans of premium beers can taste now. A Vic Secret S.M.A.S.H Red IPA (5.6% v/v) was also recently filled in the containers in the brewer’s playground. Vic Secret Australian Hop brings the aromas of tropical fruits, herbs, pine and passionflower to this brilliantly amber red IPA beer, in which the malt notes look more accentuated than their counterparts.

The small-scale brewery in Békésszentandrás considers consumer feedbacks important, so if a small batch series of experimental beer performs more than outstandingly among the audience, it can be added to the permanent offers of the brewery. Thus, it happened so with the Elder Wheat (‘Bodzás Búza’) and soon we will be able to take two more experimental beers from the store shelves permanently. So it’s worth to join the closed Facebook group ‘TestAndras Club’, where the members of the group can get information first about the new TestAndras experimental beers, participate in private prize games or even shape future TestAndras brews with their opinions.
